Guidance Notes for Use of e-Booking Service ("the Service")


  1. The Service provides online appointment booking for inspection of original land grant documents ("Land Grant Inspection") and plans deposited in the Land Registry ("Deposited Plan Inspection") for the next 14 working days at the following offices:

  3. Available time slots for booking are between 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Monday to Friday except public holiday.
  4. The Service provides appointment booking of not less than 1 working day prior to the date of inspection.
  5. You may request inspection of up to 5 plans or 5 original land grant documents for each appointment.
  6. Duration of each appointment session is 30 minutes.
  7. You may book up to 2 time slots each day, be they consecutive or not.
  8. You are required to provide your name, contact phone number and email address to facilitate communications.
  9. After an appointment has been confirmed, you may enquire, cancel or change the appointment to another available time slots via the Service.
  10. All appointments confirmed are non-transferable.
  11. A reminder email will be sent to the email address provided by you not less than 1 day before the appointment date.
  12. The Land Registry may from time to time change the available time slots of the Service without prior notice.
  13. You have to present the confirmation email issued by the Land Registry when attending the inspection office. For inspection of land grant documents at the Land Registry Archive, you must make and submit a confirmation statement to the Land Registry regarding the restriction on the use of personal data contained in the land records obtained from the Service and produce your identification document for checking by the Land Registry’s staff. Otherwise, the Land Registry may refuse your request for the Service.
  14. You should return the land grant documents or the plans intact to the Land Registry's staff upon expiry of the inspection session unless with permission of the Land Registry’s staff.
  15. The Land Registry's offices will be closed when the tropical cyclone signal No. 8 or above is raised by the Hong Kong Observatory. Special arrangements under inclement weather conditions are available at the Land Registry’s website. You are advised to check the Land Registry's website or contact us on 2158 6434 (Land Grant Inspection) or 2867 5818 (Deposited Plan Inspection) before coming to our office.
  16. The Land Registry reserves the right to refuse anyone to use this online appointment booking service for whatever reasons including but not limited to repeated absence.
  17. The Land Registry reserves the right to change/reject/cancel any confirmed appointment and has the sole discretion to refuse entry of anyone to the Land Registry’s offices, and/or impose further conditions for use of the Land Registry’s facilities as deemed necessary.
